Genny4’s patented simultaneous dual-frequency signal output
facilitates location of small diameter cables such as telecoms and street
lighting, including spurs. The power boost function in Genny4 enables the locate
signal to travel further and deeper, and couple onto utilities more easily helping professionals to drive best locating practice, reduce the number of cable strikes, and dig more safely. Signal
Boost feature increases the output signal by up to 10 times allowing you
to locate over extra distance and depth.

How to apply a tracing signal:
1 Direct Connection
Connecting the Genny4 to a valve, junction box, domestic power distribution network, or other access point of the conductor is the most effective methodology and is preferable to induction whenever possible.
2 Use a Signal Clamp
A Signal Clamp is used to apply the Genny4 signal to a pipe or live electricity cable. Supply is not interrupted by the applied signal and the operator is not exposed to any live services.
3 Induction
The Genny4 induces a tracing signal into the underground pipe or cable. This is a quick and convenient method when direct connection or signal clamping is not possible.
